If you miss a zoom meeting your bosses are on as well as other attorneys because you overslept where you were supposed to share some updates on cases you are working on as part of the conversation, do you apologize and tell them you missed your alarm OR make something up (white lie) of something that came up that you had to deal with?

I've always considered my current job temporary, I needed something and all I could get after graduating into the pandemic hiring stalemate was at a small company in my home town doing a job that isn't quite my specialty. My lease is up here in the fall and I want to leave the area. When is the best time to tell my bosses I'm planning on leaving? I don't want to snub them with too short of notice and I don't want to give them too much notice and make for an awkward work environment. Any advice?

I’m not onboard with the direction our engagement partner is taking. I’m aware that I could very well be wrong, but I would still like to respectfully disagree.

Have an interview this week to return to my previous employer. After ~2 years I still feel like I don't belong and my manager doesn't know how to utilize me. My skills have taken a nose dive. I feel guilty though because I've been dealing with some personal issues that the team has been 100% understanding of, but I can't shake the feeling of not being happy. I feel so guilty...how do I take emotion out of it?

I just started a new job 4 weeks ago. The compensation is good but my boss is difficult to work with - not adversarial or toxic but does not give direction and then questions everything I do.

This person is a "Debater (ENTP)" Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Prospecting.

I'm concerned about my longevity at the firm and question if I made the right decision to leave my prior company. Any suggestions on how to improve my relationship with my boss? Should I over communicate with them?

I love working at the bookstore and I'm proud to work with such a large group of people from different backgrounds. I'm really happy we're all here. But it probably isn't the best idea to get someone to reshelve books when they haven't been taught how to categorize them properly. It's like I spend most of the day following one of my coworkers around and discreetly fixing what he works on. He's a great guy, very personable, but wow is it frustrating.

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

As a sometimes-poster of my watches let me introduce you to a new brand and acquisition called "AERONOM" from Germany.

Saw it as a recommendation and was intrigued and have it now.

Here some details:
- Automatic Movement
- Caliber 8217 with 42 hrs Power reserve
- 41,5 mm dial in a 46 mm case of stainless steel
- date window at 3 o'clock
- black diamond at 12 o'clock
- 24 hrs indicator at 9 o'clock

It's one of 200 produced and even though it's heavy and a 46 mm case is big but nice to wear

Should I start hiding my graduation year on my resume?

I saw advice that having my grad year may be working against my favor due to perceived lack of experience. I am 6years post undergrad and have jumped jobs after each year. With each jump, I always immediately move into a higher position so much that I’m always significantly younger than the next person in the same role on my team.

I’m interviewing again for fun and the vague feedback I get is “lack of experience /deep expertise”.

Would this mean i would definitely not get the offer? I have to wait till next week for feedback and im goin crazy!

I just received this email by a recruiter:

"One thing I want to run by you again is the salary range. I asked you about it when we spoke and you mentioned a range. I would say that we would be able to offer a salary more in the lower part of that range, so I just want to make sure it is still relevant for you? We think l that you would have exciting development possibilities with us"

the lower part of that range, is acceptable, but low for market in the area. Should i ask about benefits?

Thread: I’ve been talking to this company for months and the recruiter has been in and out with communication. A few weeks ago, he reached out, apologized for the delay and explained they needed to figure out role priorities but that they’re moving forward, I’m a top candidate, & they wanted to wrap up interviews and extend an offer the following week. He never reached out to set up interviews and hasn’t replied to any of my calls or emails.
