How do you get motivated on a project you have no interest in?

Pretty pissed off. I was the only associate staffed with a partner for some relatively small corporate deals throughout the summer. I am a go-to associate for this client, and starting to move into a more leading role on the deal teams. I spent the weekend editing documents on paper, only to find this AM that a senior associate (who hasn’t worked on many of these deals) made edits on our system. The partner never told me that this guy would be jumping in, otherwise (cont in comments)
