You don’t. You consciously suppress it until your mind eventually stops thinking about it. Pick up a new hobby, learn something new; do something to better yourself. If you don’t run, start running. Go to coursera.com and take some online courses about something you’re interested in. You’ll get through it.

In the same situation. Maybe talk it out loud to yourself or a friend. I constantly think back a lot of things happened since there’s nothing much to do during quarantine and it’s causing me emotional stress
Try to cook something with the ingredients you already have. Youtube has a lot of cooking videos. Take your mind off these things.

That’s a question I’ve been trying to find an answer to as well. I am mentally and emotionally exhausted, but I have to keep pretending everything is okay. A question for you though, have you expressed your feelings to this person you can’t have? Would it even matter if you did?
AA1, point taken.
I’m feeling the same way too. Maybe this quarantine will help us forget and feelings subside by the time this ends. Otherwise, seeing him will make it harder to control myself.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Dissect your feeling and try to determine how they got to the point they’re re at. For me, I became infatuated with the idea of what I thought the relationship could be, but the reality wouldn’t have measured up to that fantasy. To others point, these feelings come on hard in certain life stages. If the prospect of the relationship feels like it’s the only thing you have going it becomes more difficult to get over.
The first stage was just accepting the fact that the reality I wanted wasn’t the reality they wanted. The second came years later with the benefit of hindsight after being happily married and realizing the foundation of the relationship I thought I wanted wasn’t as solid as I had once perceived.
Well I suppose it depends. Why can't you have them?
It seems like you have to find it in you to forget about this person, not good for your health, not good for him and to the one he’s committed too. So find it in yourself hard to forget about this guy. Otherwise, doesn’t sound too happy ending type at the end.
