How do you get over your random thoughts (personal/professional) between each set, while working out or running? More than my body, my thoughts usually pull me down. I feel this is normal to all of us, but I wanted to know if you had practiced something that helped you to set your thoughts away for sometime and finish your workout!😊🙏

I experienced exactly the same and so I started to use the Peloton app (~$13 a month) for workouts. They have strength, running, stretching, bootcamps, etc. Listening to the instructors and the music is the only barrier to obsessive thoughts and it’s working really well for me!

Music or a good Podcast. Maybe bring a friend during the workout too.

On the hard days, I can’t really escape them. I push through, think about them, then continue the set. I try to play the most upbeat music to pull me out of that mood if I can.

My workout is my me time. It’s pseudo meditative. During sets I focus on regulating breathing, watching time before next step and visualization. You are tearing muscles so you can repair and grow them later. This I what you focus your thinking toward.

If you want to observe your thoughts, set aside time for that type of meditation. Our monkey mind needs to be controlled or it controls us, that’s why I enjoy a type of meditation where I observe my own thoughts. It enables me to focus when I need to.

Focus really hard on music, propper form, and your surroundings. Being ‘present’ is really critical in all facets of life, especially in today’s digital era

Try listening to some music you can sing along too. Sounds dumb, but it helps me zone out.

Got covid from the UK , double vaxxed , and symptoms are wildly atrocious. Everyday I have different issues. I went from no fever to 102.4 in a couple of minutes. Blood oxygen dropped dangerously low and bounced back in a few minutes. Chills , cold sweats. My newest one is that my legs are so achey and sore it feels like they were beaten with a bat , just nonstop pain and can’t sleep. Anyone else experience these? Pretty sure I’d be hospitalized at a minimum without the vax

Any good detox diets that good to try out and not horrroble for your body? I want to curb some sugar cravings and bad eating habits over the past year. Has anyone done one they liked? I was thinking of starting a 3 day detox then go into 7days of a white meat/fruit cleanse for a week. Then just stop eating like a complete child on holiday after those are done 😅 any advice on what helped you get past the cravings and level set would be helpful! Newbie question: I’m looking to lose the last ~15 lbs and put on some lean muscle. Female, new to weightlifting. I’m getting a lot of conflicting advice online. Currently Im planning to eat in a deficit (CICO), and do a fully body routine focused on compound movements 3x a week. I already do cardio 3/4x per week. Is this ideal? Should I be lifting more?
