I’m a junior who landed their first perm gig last Fall. Ever since, recruiters have been coming to my partner and I left and right, offering us a salary 4k-6k gbp more than what we’re currently earning. We gave our employer a very low range when we were getting hired (just to make sure hiring us is no bother to their post-covid financial issues), but now we’re starting to feel like we made a mistake...

I joined a startup a little less than a year ago as Marketing Director. Around three months into the role, I started to experience issues with my payroll. I would receive direct deposits a few days after my expected pay date, but I just assumed the CEO had forgotten to process my deposit in time. As more time passed, the time between my expected payday and actual payday increased and the CEO stopped processing my deposits through the payroll system.

As the title suggests, I started the last 2 companies I've worked at, covering the last 8 years of my professional experience. I've found that recruiters often look at my "founder" title more like "self-employed." There's only so much an application can say. My first company was a successful software consultancy that employed 15+ and the second was acquired by a private corporation in construction, but I can't get an interview. What can I do? Take an entry-level role? Take classes?

I have two offers in hand both great jobs - pay is salary + commission. One is 20k less at plan but is my previous company in which I was apart of an reorganization in 2020.
