How do you guys know when a student is joking or when it's time to bring in the admin? I don't want to be the boy who cried wolf all of the time but I overhear some concerning stuff, especially lately. How can you tell the tough guy talk apart from a serious threat?

Many teachers in my district are being told things like If you dont turn in lesson plans, if your lesson plans aren right, if you do your data chart incorrectly ..... you will be terminated. This is not legal. Question is if you get terminated in one district can you go to another district in the middle of the year?
