It’s 2023. There are no more jokes in that field. Cry wolf every single time. Every. Single. Time.
I know, this is my instinct but I'm worried I cry wolf once or twice and then, when are real threat comes along, no one will take me seriously

Report it all because if you don’t and something happens, you would have to live with that guilt.
I agree. I always report it just to be on the safe side. If they don't take you seriously and you reported it then that falls on them.
I take all threats seriously! Like others said, better safe than sorry.
True, I was worried about crying wolf and not having future concerns taking seriously but it is too much of a risk to take

I don’t think we can take anything as a joke these days, unfortunately.
Yeah, kids know it too, the joke isn’t funny. Don’t let them get away with it.
Don’t second guess. Go full forth with what is of concern. Administration. Parents, counselor, student and really let your whole team figure this out. Don’t be sorry for what can happen.
Collaborate with all parties involved.

What they all said.
Intervene, hey this isn't funny, knock it off or I will make it stop by involving admin.
With everything that's been going on lately, I wouldn't put anything past the students
Have you talked to the student about it? You overhear something, give him some one-on-one attention to see if he is serious. You said “concerning,” not threatening. It depends on what you overheard.
I don't even let kindergartners who build guns with blocks left unchecked!
If you hear something, say something.
Totally agree with everyone. Report it!!
Treat all as real!!!
If it’s bothering you enough that you have to ask, report it. It’s always better to be on the safe side.
I usually check in first to ascertain the situation. If it happens frequently especially where the comments are impacting others in a harmful way, I’d have to bring in admin. The first level of intervention generally does the trick.
It’s time to get admin involved immediately. We are mandated reporters. Always err on the side of caution. Better it be a false report than finding out you didn’t report something which could have stopped something from happening

My school system doesn’t put up with any kind of threats. Threatening information may get students suspended. We have a no tolerance policy for that kind of behavior. If you hear it report and document what you heard.
I would take all threats serious. Maybe try talking to the student on the side to see if you can get a feel for their intentions
