You need to take risks and put yourself out there. I recently went through this myself. I tried about 5-7 different events/groups. I felt very awkward sometimes and didn’t connect with anyone, but I ultimately met a few people who I am now building a relationship with.
Areas you might try depending on your interests: pick-up sports (via meetup), run club (la leggers), church, evening or weekend classes (Ucla), friends of friends (anyone can intro you?), deepen existing connections (anyone you already know?)
Meetups and things like fitness classes or events/pop ups. Most meetups (from the app) skew older here but I met some cool people at those.
Hi! I have a couple ladies meet ups scheduled for end of July / beg of August at two different breweries in DTLA. DM me your email and I can add you to the invites!

Bumble bff. Its hit or miss but makes it easier
started with a narrow circle of people who i had mutual friends with and people who i worked with. expanded to their friends, people I met through organizations / places that interested me (museums, music shows, yoga, hiking). love to see how these discrete circles have overlap.
I work remotely as well with my husband and puppy. I live in the valley so even harder to make friends. I meet people while walking my dog. And through other friends but I like I said it can be hard!
Hi LA! New to Fishbowl and to LA (from Chicago!) would love to connect with some local folks. WFH has me all kinds of cabin fevery. I’m in West Hollywood. LGBT male (groundbreaking 😁 for Weho) and open to all friendships.
Hi!! I lived in Chicago for 10 years and also just moved to LA two months ago from NY 🤗
