How do you guys manage multiple interviews in one week while trying to be effective on your current job? I have interviews with 5 different companies next week and it’s been a scheduling challenge to say the least…

How have you been getting this many?

This was very difficult and overwhelming for me in the last two job searches I had (1st one back in Sept 2021, and most recent in Feb 2022).

Fortunately, I was working contract in 2021 so I was able to get my interviews in between projects.

When working full-time, it helped to block time for a "lunch hour" (for work life balance reasons) and then use that time for any phone call rounds.

I'm a designer so we have panel and portfolio interviews which may take 2 hours so, I try and get that in on a Thursday or Monday afternoon, or if no other time, Friday afternoon since most people tend to have lighter days.

Do you have focus times blocked doff in your calendar? You can use some of those to your benefit too.

When it comes to keeping track of conversations with multiple companies, I like to take hand written notes and then do a debrief on my own excel sheet, as well as do a rating sort of exercise to mark my excitement after each call. That way, with everything else happening in between, at least I can refer back to these notes at every stage of the process for each company.

Hi everyone. I live in the SF Bay Area (Berkeley) and I’m currently working at the Apple Store. Does anyone know of any open roles at corporate companies that don’t require a degree? Or can anyone suggest necessary courses on LinkedIn to take that’ll help my resume? I need a more serious role that pays higher since living here is so expensive.

Had a weird/bad? Interview yesterday. I don’t even know what question to ask about it! Mostly just want to hear diff takes on it.

3rd round with the woman who would be my direct line manager if I got the role. Content marketing manager role, she was head of content. She was late, underdressed/not too presentable, and unprepared! Felt like I was having to move the conversation forward. Lots of long pauses, and I did most of the conversation-bridging.

It could just be the agency I am at, but since this is my first agency gig... I have no idea if this is the norm.
