How do you handle a candidate or employee who has a bit of a blind spot with political correctness? I have a candidate who adores his wife, is a great communicator, but his emails come off slightly flirtatious - he was complimenting my work ethic but also mentioned I look great in my company site photo. Do I think he’s a creep? No…I think he’s a middle aged guy who doesn’t realize how he’s coming across. And he’s a REALLY good candidate. Do I mention it to my boss? How can I address it if we

Do hire him? I don’t want him to possibly sketch out other future female employees and I genuinely think it’s more lack of awareness than anything more malicious.

Is it possible to mandate completing a sexual harassment training? We recently implemented it for all staff to complete & provide certificate, as well as new hires within their first 90 days. That way its coming from a logistics end and not a personal feedback end.

This is a REALLY good idea - we just opened a new branch in the US and haven’t discussed this type of training yet, I can definitely suggest it! I forwarded his email to my male bosses and they validated how I felt and see it as a faux pas/flag, so we will be discussing it further and I can mention this idea! Thanks!!

I wonder, can you just tell him that. “Look, I am sure you don’t realize this …. But, I care about your growth and self awareness is important, especially on this topic and in this climate. I would hate for anyone who does not know you very well to misinterpret your intentions… I respect you enough to tell you”

If we move forward, I do think I can bring it up to him like this - I like how you wrote it, thank you!!!

Hi all,
Need an advice. I am confused between doing masters or learn tech stack and increase experience and salary.
*My primary goal is to earn more.*
If masters I have to do in US or UK, so GRE, GMAT.
If for learning and tech experience I can learn tech stacks.
But I am confused between this.
Could you please tell or suggest what would be a better choice? Is doing masters in US or UK is a better ROI or be in India and gain exp and earn more by switching?
Currently I am a Java developer.
TIA

Good Morning! I have an employee who’s been with us 6 weeks. Training process usually is about 8-12 weeks to be fully up to speed. This employee has already called off sick 4 days since start date. I have an am meeting block and came into 6 messages asking if this person would be working this weekend as planned, so I asked what the plan was from them. Immediate response was that I am abrasive and don’t make them feel valued. Keep in mind nothing medical was disclosed prior. What should I do?
