Lots of brain breaks with “Go Noodle!” I do all of them with the kids! There are definitely things for all ages!
I don't sit at my desk during class. I am always up and helping students anyway. Since I teach all day except for lunch (no planning) I don't have any problems getting enough exercise.
I have a 10 minute active brain break between reading and math. We usually pull up a this or that on YouTube. Or a "run" of some sort.
I also do "scoots."
Ooooh... You mean teachers. Hahaha I have a standing desk and get about 10000 steps a day.
I’ve been trying to start a habit of waking for an hour every day after summer school with my dog to decompress and enjoy the outside! I travel between 4 different classrooms through the day so I do plenty of movement in my school building lol
Run during lunch
I take a lap around the building during planning and do stretches and wall push ups during lunch. I also take my clothes and hit the trail right after school. If I get home and sit down, it’s over.
Stretch in the stairwell and walk up and down the stairs during lunch
I teach music and on lots of days, we are up, dancing for part of the class. If I know that we're not going to be doing that, I will incorporate stretches and breathing exercises into the beginning of our classes. I know it's not much, but it does get me up and moving!
