My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? How does everyone feel about the huge conflict of interest between market maker and hedge fund? Does anyone know what a market maker is or what they specifically do in our markets? Anyone ever realize that a market maker can also be a hedge fund? Or am I the only idiot messing with options... completely u aware the person selling me the option contracts has total@control over stock price and legally allowed to manipulate it... bc they take on “risk”.

Looks like the markets had forgotten about inflation after one good month. If it wasn't for gas prices dropping this would have been on par with Feb-June.
