You have about a 20% chance of getting pregnant each month, so don’t let it get you down. It’s important to remember that you’re statistically right on track if you try for six months. Symptom spotting can be a let-down too given early pregnancy symptoms And pre-menstrual symptoms are basically the same.
Live your life, enjoy a cocktail, try to not think about it too much until you hit that six month mark.

I will brag for a sec because I’m really proud of this. I couldn’t imagine tolerating the wait. I was terrified. So I approached it like this- anything sooner would be inaccurate data so why put myself through that. Then I arranged mtgs, personal activities, a trip, binge marathons, etc anything to keep my mind busy and when I looked up it had been 1.5 weeks. So I just had to suck it up one weekend - which also sucked. Then Monday morning I had my blood test- and the hardest part was the 4 hour wait for them to call me back with + 🤰🏽 news! So all in all- Distractions and a quest for accurate info.
I was trying for 9 months before my first positive and it just SUCKS every time! I'll echo what others have said, find anything to keep you busy during that time. Distraction, distraction, distraction.
When you get the negative, give yourself a day or so to be sad/angry/frustrated, then take a deep breath and get ready for the next month. The hardest part for me was about 8 months into trying catching up with a friend who didn't know I was trying and her telling me she was pregnant with her second. It took everything in me to not burst into tears and show her that I was happy for her.
All in all, be kind to yourself! Sending all the baby dust your way for the next month!
Find a show to binge watch in your off hours, start a new book, take on a home project… anything to keep your mind busy 😊
The time I conceived (I knew when I most likely had ovulated) I was actually on a trip during the 2ww and purposely decided not to bring a test with me to enjoy the trip (I also knew I wouldn’t walk into a pharmacy abroad to get a test). By the time we got back my period was already 3 days late and the early response test very clear.
The other times I didn’t conceive I tested early and although I was disappointed it was ok. So don’t make yourself crazy, if you can deal with the disappointment just take tests every 2 days until you get your period. Good luck !!!
Following - also, what do you do when you get a negative test (or two negative tests) but you still haven't gotten your period.
I've been having a regular period since I got off BC in February so this is driving me crazy.
