How do you keep track of your time when you go solo? Making the transition soon and I'm wondering if I should invest in any specific software.

It honestly depends what you think your biggest challenges will be. What do you need to track the most?

Cliooooooooooo

Do yourself a favor and get both Grow and Manage. Grow is the client intake aspect of the software and manage is the case management aspect. Having a system in place for potentials will save you SO much time/effort/headache. Plus, it tracks retention rate and referrals, which is great.

MyCase.

I use MyCase also. Was recommended by a former colleague years ago

I use Clio and love it

MyCase or utilize a paralegal to record your time, as well as theirs, but you must make sure they’re informed daily of your billed hours and do it through a spread sheet or weekly with a spreadsheet so the paralegal can enter it properly without it getting rejected by the client.

Clio is a game-changer. It really helps me stay organized. It's worth it so there's no need to hesitate :)

Anybody else triggered by the continuation of angry black women portrayals? If anything we have the right to be angry. Since I have to constantly sensor myself as not to come off as too aggressive and outspoken or hear the words “she has an attitude”. Always controlling my facial expressions and tone of voice. Living in this world makes me feel so voiceless. Feel like these people trying to snatch my soul away from me.

I started a solo firm right as I was barred with about 3 years legal experience in the field. First year it’s looking like 500-750k. I out earn my big law friends, while living on a beach working remotely. I just hired my first paralegal and couldn’t be happier.

I believe improving one’s sales conversion rate is something everyone want to improve but no one wants to admit they would like to work it.
