Clarivate Analytics why is the interview process so incredibly long?
First the recruiter took days to reply to her initial set up for a phone interview, made me do an assessment, waited a few days to hear back after she told me I passed, then scheduled a prep call and had me waiting for over 30 mins and cancelled on me. Then did two more interview and it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve heard back. I sent a follow up email today and waiting for a reply. This is crazy!

Whatever you do don’t turn on networking...
Anyone hiring Project Mangers or Scrum Masters?
I’m an introvert by nature so I really struggled with this early in adulthood. About 10 years ago, I started going through my contacts and reaching out to people. If they’re in the same area, we’d grab coffee and catch up. If they weren’t, I’d just set up a phone call and have coffee while we talked. People really appreciate it and I’ve rekindled some old friendships! It’s been surprisingly easy. I’ve started doing it with people I would’ve liked to know better and added some friends that way too.
When I’m reaching out during a job hunt I usually say something like, “I’m hunting for a job (be clear why) and thought of you. I realize we haven’t talked in a while and I really want to know how you’re doing and what you’re up to (I like people so this is true for me). Can we grab some time to talk when soon?”
Even with work acquaintances or people I know peripherally, this has been really effective.
Good luck and I hope this is helpful!
I wouldn't mind casually reconnecting with my current network if I didn't need a new job badly but I'll try that with the intention of adding anything relevant to their job into my conversations. Thanks for your advice!
