How do you know if something listed on Poshmark is real or fake? Mostly in the context of handbags

Poshmark offers an authentication option to sellers (as does Mercari and other similar sites). I try to find bags marked that way. Similarly, there are multiple online authentication services. If you buy a bag, you can submit it for authentication (typically with responses within 24 hours). If it’s not authentic you can report to Poshmark as not being as described and still be within the three day window to “accept” the items

Also- look for bags not easily reproduced. Your run of the Mill fake Louis vuitton and Gucci bags are widely reproduced. If you go online there are many ways to check for items to look for. Ask seller for multiple photos etc and do you due diligence.

I know some people only buy from sellers that look like they are selling from their personal closet. Not foolproof, but they try to avoid shops that are re-selling items they found somewhere else.

I think you don't, unless it's NWT or has a certificate. My strategy is to find multiple listings of what I sorta want and make super lowball offers. Odds are one will bite and I'll get something for half the list price. At some point the discount is so steep that authenticity doesn't matter

How many of you have taken HubSpot Academy's free certification courses, and what value have you gotten out of them?

For context, I have prior experience in social media management, copywriting, and content creation, but I want to demonstrate my expertise by getting certifications in these areas. Do you think that's necessary, or should I focus on certifications in areas where I lack experience, such as paid advertising or SEO?

Yesterday I had the worst interview with a small firm. This man (plaintiff PI) and his wife (office manager and RN) began the interview process by testing my Spanish skills by speaking to me in Spanish only. Then, transitioned to English when I passed. He couldn’t understand how I took 6 months off from work. His wife asked if I had any children. They asked if I thought my defense background brought any value to the plaintiff atty position (more in comments section)

This weekend I accidentally sent an email to OC that was supposed to go to the client. I didn’t have the clients email and only had the OCs email, but I still should have double checked before sending. It ended up not being a huge deal bc it was a mostly agreed upon settlement agreement and my senior associate and partner walked me through a follow up email to OC. They were pretty cool about it, but I can’t stop cringing. How do I try to move forward and not feel totally idiotic about this??

While my boss is very sensitive to sexism, he often reminds me that I am only a 2nd year, and that sometimes people (attorneys in our firm, outside co-counsel, opposing counsel) treat me differently in accordance with my experience level, rather than because of my gender. I, however, believe that I’d be given a lot more respect as a male 2nd year. Small firm so we don’t have any male associates. How do I show him it’s my gender and not my experience level?

I want to go in house because (1) I hate the pressure to develop business (I love building professional relationships but that’s different than getting referrals - the folks I know are not the ones making the calls on that!) (2) the attorneys here the next level older than me aren’t great at developing business and I’m afraid our small firm will fold in future (3) I like dealing with clients more holistically rather than fighting. What’s the best way to describe the reason I’m looking to change?
