Lots of steps between where you are and IVF. Make an appointment with a fertility specialist, as your OB can only take you a limited way through the process.
Agree completely my OB was never the way to get to success. But ART- assisted reproductive is what you need next. IVF may be part of that process.
One thing that I recommend is to have your OB/GYN order a Semen Analysis for your partner and he can get that done before seeing the specialist. You can have it done at the same advanced reproductive lab that the specialist uses. Depending on your insurance, an SA may be covered when an OB/GYN orders it, but may not be covered when the fertility specialist orders it. A little hack that saves a bit of $$.
Also, Google TUSHY. It’s a summary of all of the screenings you can do —to the points made earlier above.
Get checked out-- plenty of issues can come from things other than not ovulating. Among myself/direct friends-- can include unknown genetic issues that make most embryos non-viable; cycle/hormone conditions that make pregnancies difficult to implant/not develop; sperm issues
Yea definitely go to the doctor. They will check bloodwork and ultrasound and sperm tests and all kinds of stuff to start ruling stuff out and finding answers. It's a slow process so I wouldn't wait.
Thank you all!
