I went thru a nasty divorce last year/this year. Finalized in March 2022. We have 2 kids. Ex moved back home (St. Thomas USVI). It’s just me here with the kids. He came for thanksgiving week & wreaked havoc on our lives in just 2 days. I am a mess now. It’s so hard to focus on work. Have court, kid stuff & therapy just taking up all the real estate in my mind. Tips for getting thru the work day when ur drowning? And everyone knows ur business bc police were involved? 😞

How much can I expect in my next package jump?
I had a hiring manager ask me to apply for a job BUT a couple days later got an automated 'we're not moving along with your application.' I'm not sure whether that was the hiring manager deciding not to move on after seeing my resume or if it was the recruiter weeding me out without consulting with the hiring manager. Should I message the hiring manager? What should I say?

Hello! I’m currently a Administrative assistant now working at a major medical system in Baltimore. I’ve previously worked for 10 years as a medical assistant in a variety of specialties and primary care. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck as to my next step. Part of me want to go into management, another part is saying go get your RN, and the other is saying go into Social Work. I’m all over the place. Any ideas? And how would I be able to cross over to management?

What city do you practice in? How many years of experience? Current salary? What setting do you practice in? What are the differences in pay between different settings in your area (ie. outpatient ortho versus home care).
Personally I practice out patient ortho in Rochester, NY making $65,000 annually with a good benefit package. 6 years of exp. And not entirely sure how much more I could make in home care/other settings.
I’m a cci edit coder. I currently have the RHIA registered health information administrator. I been thinking of studying for CCS certified coding specialist exam. But none of the jobs I’m interested in require CCS. They want someone that is familiar with data using excel tableau etc I know these things but I have not worked in a role. I guess my question is should I past this CCS exam then focus on trying to get experience as a data analysts or forget about the CCS?
I am switching from patient care front desk with a eye Dr clinic to patient care in a hospital. I'm worried about learning all the codes I'll need to learn. Is there a resource site or something i can start reviewing codes?
