I hated the idea of students eating in the classroom when they first proposed it at our school. But I set the standard when school began (you may eat your breakfast but it is around your work, not instead, and you clean up any mess). Students are not encouraged to bring breakfast to class, as they still need to complete their work, and I have a broom available for them to clean up if necessary. It has worked out.

Looking for (adaptive, preferably) educational technology for ELA to be used in classrooms as both enrichment for students identified as gifted as well as re-teaching, offering helpful support for students who struggle. Has anyone found anything that does both well? Looking especially for a tool that teachers can get behind and that students enjoy/find easy to use. What do you love? What do you hate? This would be targeted to grades 1-6 primarily, but it needs a high ceiling.
