Got a role at ServiceNow but will have to take a pay cut…is the culture and company worth taking the cut? I have 1 YOE
Had a referral and HR phone screen for S&O Senior Manager position at a small Chicago based tech start up. Call went well and they asked my salary expectations and I mentioned $180K. Recruiter said that far exceeds their pay bands but would check. He just reached out and said “there is still a large gap in comp expectations. Despite that, are you still interested in the opp? If so let’s have another quick call to recalibrate”….what should I say on this call? Should I budge or is this a tactic?
What's severance at PDub? Like a month per year?
New to freelance: 40 hours/week in contract but put on a high profile project that requires weekend work or overtime. Bill? If so, how would you go about it since the contract is 40 hours/week? Should I just include it in the invoice/timesheet or should I also plan to have a conversation with my supervisor or HR or Accounts Payable beforehand? Also keeping in mind that I hope to get contract extended, which is in my contract [tentative].
Which of these two can get a job quicker? A. The one who resigned and currently unemployed B. The one who got fired
Have been with big D for 2 years. Got an offer to a company I hold of high value for an 'internship' with potential to full time. Really on the fence. Anyone done something similar before?
I’m sure this has been asked 100 times before but newbie here. Looking for a recommendation on which airline to use as preferred for points/status/etc... ideally flying out of DCA.
Please help with your suggestions to this Depressed fish! 10 YOE and worked diligently with sub standard package relying on bosses alms without realised the exploitation until recently. But now I really want to make it big. So got some offers, but not those which I am looking for. Skillset is cutting edge cloud.cold applying on LinkedIn job openings aren't helping getting decent interview calls! Can you please show me some path? Or am I estimating myself beyond my capabilities! Really frustrated. SOS
How do I pick the best airline and hotel chain for reward status? I'm about to start traveling a lot more next year, and I don't have any real strong loyalties. I live in the north-east in a mid-sized city, and will be traveling mostly in the north-east. My airport is primarily served by American, Delta and Southwest, but isn't a hub for any airline.
What’s the difference in severity between messing up enough to get rolled off a project and enough to be put on a performance improvement plan?
Screen sharing with an ultrawide / 4K monitor - what’s everyone’s experience like? In the past I tried to screen share with a 1440p monitor and people would complain my screen was too small so I have a secondary 1080p monitor that use exclusively for screen sharing. I’d love to move to either an ultrawide or just upgrade the 1080p monitor to a 4K one but am worried I’ll have the same issues it appearing small on the other persons end. Anyone have any suggestions?
Have interviews next week for senior accountant positions and getting the weird feeling I could be leaving PA too early. Anyone second guess them self before making the switch out of PA?
Accenture, BCG, Deloitte & E&Y all signed up to be in the consortium for eliminating the gender pay gap. All the sudden I'm feeling the urge to switch firms!
First day as scrum master and for a new team, any tips? I’m not used to gathering a team that’s 100% remote and am trying to figure out creative ways to get the team engaged.
Was a bitch? My coworker routinely asks me how I am doing, what I’m working on, if everything is ok, joking that I’m starting my week on Wednesday because I’ve been remote for two days, etc etc. I find it distracting and invasive so today I told them to please stop asking questions that put me on the spot. Was I a bitch?
What is the culture like at Initiative? I've met with some senior folks there recently but curious what people who do or have worked there think of leadership, the greater team, etc.
How do you respond to pushy HR people/ recruiters who ask your salary req in the first 5 mins?
Thoughts in taking cpa exam just to be able to have partner title instead of principal. In tech consulting and don’t need nor will use cpa but I’m eligible to take it as I have acc undergrad / masters
