The same way you’d handle lateraling for other reasons, with the added benefit that you have a good explanation for the move.
The advice I received was to highlight the experience you do have, but especially focus on your transferable skills. Explaining your background of work and then how what you have done/the level of responsibility you have/etc. can translate into a new group.
