All big 4 employees get a bonus for referring employees. Reach out to accountants you have something in common with (e.g. same school). Recruiters are will ignore you.

Agree. Find people roughly equal to you (level, line of service) at your local B4, and add them on LI. If you're in the mood, add a note saying something like "I'd love to switch to <your firm>. Let me know if there are ever any openings at my level." Even if there aren't any now, they'll have your LI resume and a way to contact you if something comes up later.

LinkedIn and building on your existing connections.

Reach out to seniors or managers posting that their companies have openings/ are actively recruiting. They're more likely to care and push for you as opposed to other people Bc of referral bonus. Some industries are hiring more than others though

Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. The partner and I have kept in touch since I joined my new firm and I feel like his invitation is a great networking opportunity since the client (who I have worked with before) is on a number of boards. Torn as how to request off as an S3. Could materialize to nothing but could be good for reconnecting.

Guys, I am APHR certified and practiced Organization Development for several years and I still had problems getting a new job after migrating to the USA. This will lead to new skill sets which will lead into more experience.
