My roommate is depressed and won’t really talk to me much lately. I asked them recently how they’re feeling because I’ve noticed they’ve been sad and they admitted they’re depressed. I Invite them to do stuff and they turn me down. We are pretty close but they told me they just want to deal with it alone yet I want to help. I’m just not sure what to do and I feel guilty for feeling sad that they don’t want to hang out with me. Any advice?

I feel this is wrong…first, if you’re someone who constantly wants to be better, this doesn’t work. Also, what happens when you’re going through things and you’re not the best version? What happens is…the going gets tough and then one person leaves the other.
