Have you joined any professional networks- especially local chapters of American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). There are some really solid networking opps, especially at their conferences. A lot of ppl have entered the industry by joining these groups. Also does the health informatics program have a strong alumni group- potentially leverage that. Otherwise, taking courses on coursera and networking with students in those classes as well as info interviews with ppl on linkedin can help you build some solid connections to break into the industry.
Also consider Administrative Fellowships if interested in the provider space.
Healthcare is a big field with lots of specialties. Start thinking about the kind of area you want to work with - medical devices? software? care delivery? financials? interoperability? Research the companies in those fields, follow leaders on LinkedIn, or take classes to learn more or get certified in useful skills.
