How do you plan to address your travel schedule, post COVID 19? My family is high risk, so I’ll probably push out travel as much as possible. I know this has been asked in variations on other posts, but wanted to hear from my fellow 40 and over crowd.

I had a lot of international project travel planned that is all on pause. I don’t think we’re traveling again this year. Even if the area you live in is lifting restrictions, the places your clients are may not be.

I think we will be grounded for awhile when clients and firms realize that we can do our work remotely. Covid really changed the way we work. Personally, I plan not to travel even if we get the green light when all can be done from my laptop.

I hope not to travel for the remainder of the year. Right now, work isn’t very demanding. Clients don’t seem eager to have those who travel coming back to their locations just yet even with restrictions being lifted. Also, with the economic hit, there are more requests for local and cheaper.

I’ve always been well aware that coworkers are not friends and kept work and personal very separate but there is a humanity to this particular situation that feels especially depressing when going unacknowledged. Is this just me?

I’m an assistant for a firm I really like working with. So he’ll tell me as such and then begin to give me a mini-lecture on why that information is wrong. The first few times he did this I was sure I…
