How do you present social calendars to clients for approval?! We use sprout for scheduling/ posting but their client approval interface is too complex and not very visually (cont. in comments)

We use Airtable to take our clients through our editorial calendar. You can send a view only link to them, as well, and they can click around on their own time. Has worked really well so far!

CONT. appealing. So, we’ve been making decks each month which look sleek but updating them when they have edits is very tedious. The decks have: - a month calendar overview with social icons on the dates we have posts scheduled - A grid layout of the Instagram feed for the month - Mockups of the posts (large photo and copy/ hashtag underneath)fl for each platform (fb, Twitter and IG) Does anyone use a program that they use that could easily generate something like this? Airtable? Homemade template in excel/ sheets? We’re not looking to replace sprout because it has a lot of other features that we like. But, if there is another scheduling/ posting platform that can make user friendly, image driven content calendars we might switch or add on just for this purpose.

Take it back to the purpose of the calendar... beyond simply getting content signed off, because different formats will leave different impressions. A beautifully presented deck is great if you're building trust and trying to impress the client, but it takes a lot of time, can make you look expensive and version control is a nightmare Using a tool (sprinklr or other cms) should allow for better version control and save time in creating decks but will mean you get more bitty feedback and you'll probably end up chasing busy clients for approval. It will make you look efficient, transparent and focused on efficiency but does require a good relationship with a client that trusts you, because they can easily blame you for a "complex" system if they fail to do their job. Then theres other considerations, for example client side stakeholders. Is your client the ultimate approval on everything? Do they need to be able to present your content to stakeholders who you haven't met? Will it make them look good if they plonk it into a deck? Work out what your calendar needs to do for you and the agency and build a flexible process around that.
