- Get to know the company / type of role
- Question Types (usually depend on interview round): culture fit/ personality, behavioral, technical, specialist
- Examples from previous work (What was the problem? How did you fix or solve it? Was your contribution individual or part of a team? What were challenges you faced? What types of questions could I use this example to answer?)

Previously interviewed for position at Deloitte but did not receive offer after final round. I’ve applied for other Deloitte positions following the rejection but now each time during the initial phone screening, the recruiter asks for the name of who helped me throughout the recruiting process for the role I did not receive an offer for. After I provide this info, I’m then ghosted by them each time (3 times total so far). What am I doing wrong?

Guys, my manager the social media strategist just asked me how to calculate engagement rate. This is such basic knowledge. Everyone should be asked this at the interview at this point just to check if they know it.

This has ruined my day, because this is such a small instance of how incapable she is compared to me but is still in a top position. 😶

I am applying for some in-house roles and wanted to hear from other brand strategists who have made the transition. Asking advice from a recruiter: I’ve been recently laid off :( This week I took some time to reflect, talk to friends and family. I want to be more thoughtful on my next move and although interviewing right away would be logical I feel I want to take a break and some time for myself. Take a month or two off working and use that time to plan thoughtfully on my next move. Would having that gap in my resume be an issue when I go back to the job market?

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?

Has anyone else been told by HR that unlimited PTO has a limit? Our policy very clearly states there is no limit, but once I used 25 days of PTO for the year, I was told by HR that 6 wks or more is not "within reason" (though again, our policy clearly doesn't allude to such a thing) and my manager was basically told it's not ok.
