I left the firm in July after working 80-100 hour weeks non-stop for almost a year. No job lined up — I’d reached a tipping point where I decided that I was just going to take however long I needed (dipped into savings and moved back home). It wasn’t until about 3 weeks ago when I woke up one morning and thought to myself that I felt okay.

It took me about 6 months to fully recover from burn out. Take a 2+ week vacation where you don't check your email. Then draw firm boundaries about Saturdays and Sundays. There will be weeks you can't help working, but try to keep your utilization around 85%.

Once you are there it is too late to push through. The trick is to speak up before the burn out happens and make adjustments so that you don't become burnt out.
Set a good routine for yourself in the morning, workout/do yoga/journal. Have some quite time for yourself everyday (even half an hour would do). Catch up on sleep over the weekends and shutdown social media. Not an exhaustive list, but it can help.
Work harder.
Just keep at it until you find something better.
