I’ve been in a major struggle lately. The past 4 years I’ve had brain surgery, cousin committed suicide, mother had a stroke, and my grandmother fell and landed on her head last week. After my surgery, I was diagnosed with depression, OCD, PTSD, and severe anxiety. I’m officially epileptic and now limited to what I can do outside. Point is, it has been so hard to focus on work but I really do enjoy my job. I’ve had seizures on and off lately. Any advice?

Hey all! Would love some advice from working moms. After some turn of events, I now have temporary custody of two wonderful boys (7,9). They are incredibly easy to care for and relatively low maintenance. Truth is, I’m freaking out. I don’t have kids or expected this to be my life although I’m happy they are with me. My firm has a really toxic environment. I’m a young associate and still learning. The paralegals I work with are constantly making mistakes and/or refusing to learn how to do things. Their work product is not good and I cannot trust what they provide; I end up making my own edits. After I have meetings to address these problems, the paralegals will go “chit chat” behind closed doors. Some serious mean girl crap happening. Anyone else encounter this or have any advice??

I think I’m depressed but not sure why. I ran a half marathon a few months ago and since then have been feeling really off and unable to get back into running/exercising.
