I think it’s the same as when some women give horribly bad relationship advice in here when they clearly shouldn’t be - they don’t know what they don’t know.
Also similar, women who say they wont take the full maternity leave. They may feel different when the baby arrives. 🤷🏻♀️ why get so mad?
If it doesn’t affect you, don’t put any thought or emotion in to it. It doesn’t help you in anyway, it will only waste your time and energy. You will never change someone’s mind on this app (Facebook, and other social media included) so just keep living your own life! Only worry about influencing decisions that affect you personally.
I know you don’t think men talking about paternity leave affects you personally, but it affects all men and all women because everyone’s behaviour shapes company policy. How companies use policies turns into industry culture for consulting, and how we collectively operate changes our community, laws, and country.
Every decision of this nature affects everyone.
Idk, it just seems so casual and unsupportive to me. Also it feels like so much more of a choice on their end. Maybe I overreacted 😂 I just don’t like that type of attitude juxtaposed with the physical reality of childbirth that they’ll never ever have to bear
