When I quit my old agency I was upfront t about my reasons for leaving. And during my last two weeks I continued to push out work. I’m still really close with my old team and they told me I could always come back
People will remember your last two weeks most. Finish strong.
Always give two weeks notice no matter what. Never trash talk. Don't lie but hold back on anything that isn't actually going to bring anything positive or productive for you. Basically keep it professional/high road no matter how low others may go.
Give your 2 weeks, follow up on any last projects...keep it moving. Stay close to your friends but realize with agency life the way it is people are just trying to survive, no one has time to be that angry...I hope.
Don’t slack after you quit - but a meaningful thank you note to anyone who helped you or you learned from during your time there will go a long way. I’ve had old bosses bring it up years later.
On my exit interview I dedicated quite some time to talking about each and one of the people I enjoyed working with. I was thankful for all the opportunities that were given to me, and I have them honest feedback on what things I thought they should improve. They reached out afterwards thanking me, and saying that the doors would always be open for me.
When you were upfront with reasons, were you specific about any interpersonal issues or conflicts you had with creative vision or leadership?
I think it depends on how you do it. I would start with the positives of working there and then the negatives but in a constructive way/ offer a solution
