All clients need to explain conference call etiquette when WFH to their employees. So far I’ve heard people washing dishes, talking to their spouse and kids, making lunch, and playing with pets...
I’ll be having a convo next with where I tell my manager I got another offer, how do I ask for a counter offer without demanding one? All the things I’m looking for (WFH, title change) are things I’ve been asking for. For example,I’ve been doing the EP role for a year without the promotion.
Horrible headshots coping mechanisms - lay it on me. The firm decided to schedule new headshots at the worst possible time (WFH 15 I’m struggling to get off, none of my suits fit, my hair girl accidentally took my blonde too dark). Proofs came back and they are godawful - the photographer put me in the most awkward positions, so I look uncomfortable AND like an overstuffed sausage. I want to asinine for reshoots but I’m worried he’s going to make the exact same errors.
Anybody have insights into how Apple is doing their virtual on sites right now during the WFH orders? I am in the process of getting my date scheduled and curious what technology they are using.
Would you rather A) have a four day work week in the office with Fridays off or B) Five day work week with only 2 days in the office and the other three remote
I see a lot of posts of overworked people here but anyone underworked too now that we are remote? Anyone working just 2/3 hours a day and still getting great feedback?
Was a bitch? My coworker routinely asks me how I am doing, what I’m working on, if everything is ok, joking that I’m starting my week on Wednesday because I’ve been remote for two days, etc etc. I find it distracting and invasive so today I told them to please stop asking questions that put me on the spot. Was I a bitch?
Looking for a mid or senior level art director on the west coast (or mountain time) at a WPP agency. Open to remote but has to be in either one of those time zones. DM your book 📚
Have an offer from PWC AC BG as a Sr. Assc. for 12.7 fixed. My friend works at PWC and told me that it is very likely that there'll be a permanant WFH. I have a offer from RSM for 13.6 fixed in Delhi. Is there any polite way that I can ask the HR at PWC to match the offer ? My friend told me not to be aggresive about it. Some other questions: 1.) How's the WLB ? My goal is to leave for international MBA in 2 years. 2.) Onsite opportunities 3.) General culture 4.) Busy season 5.) Work quality
Has anyone done new hire meet and greets in a remote setting? If so, were they useful? What went well and what went poorly?
Moving to NYC next year, and my SO is based in Seattle. He is very keen to spend more time with me in NYC, even suggesting living there while remote working is still a thing. I’m a little hesitant bc we’ve only been dating for 2-3 months and it would feel like moving in tgt. Also not sure if i should be looking for a studio or 1br for more space but at a much higher price tag that i have to pay for. Any thoughts?
Any recommendations for a portable second monitor? Ideally something that would fit in a carry-on? Since I’m still WFH, I’m taking a week-long trip to visit my sister. We’ll both be working during the week and I’d like to avoid working only from a laptop if I can.
Saw an email coming for EY reopening the India offices from October 4th, but professionals to WFH till December. I hope they never make it mandatory for people to work from office. I stay outside of the office location cities and would never want to relocate.
Deloitte is work from home flexible for the foreseeable future. 30-50 percent colocating. What are other firms doing?
How many of you are fully remote? How reasonable is it to request remote work? I’d like to be with a family member in a different city for a few months, is this a reasonable request?
Despite getting next to no sleep and feeling constipated, I have finally figured out why I have been so happy all day. Summer dress code in the home office!
Is there a prestige gap between the big 4 and ACN that is big enough to be worth taking a detour to the big four before exiting consulting? Depending on your perspective you might not see acn as less prestigious than say ey/pwc/kpmg but curious what people think the general perception is. (Not talking about strategy& or Parthenon)
Does anyone have any insider information, good or bad, about the design-tech firm, Beyond (Bynd)?
Just transferred firms and I feel like a failure. I have no idea what’s going on in the project, feel like no one likes me, and I’m not doing a good job. I feel like just going back to my old firm.
Do principals also have utilization goals? Can they just choose to bill 0 hours on project and work “for free”?
I want to start looking at exit opportunities but want to first prep and be ready for the interviews. I plan on moving to MBB or to junior PM roles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! TC: 100K YOE: 1 Location: NYC
Am I crazy for thinking being a mom is harder than working in biglaw? I’m a mid level associate and FTM currently on maternity leave and the amount of sleeplessness over the past few weeks have convinced me my job is a piece of cake in comparison. I’m so overwhelmed.
What’s the base salary range for a Consultant level at Accenture/Avanade? Northeast region.
Confused about admiral vs regular shares on Vanguard. Looks like admiral has a higher expense ratio but a higher minimum investment...am I missing something?
How’s the WLB in EYP TSE group ? Thinking of applying but have heard horror stories of MBB equivalent stress levels.EY-Parthenon
Guys. Amex platinum vs Chase Sapphire Reserve? Amex is offering 60k bonus and chase is offering 50k
I applied for a business solutions role at Crowe through campus recruiting, however, I’ve been selected to interview for a financial crime consulting role. Anyone know why something like that would happen? Now I need to research that role 😩
Does sleep apnea negatively impact pregnancy?
Turned in my 2 wks. EM asked me to stay for another week bc manager will be on parental leave around the same time (and sounds like EM is pressuring him as well). Should I consider at all?? Felt a bit guilty to leave the pressure on the manager…
If you're analytics inclined (reporting, SQL, modeling) , about C and above and you were laid off, let me know . I can refer you to a job I was contacted for
