Anyone have a good setup for switching between screens on two machines? I have a MBP for work, and a Mac Mini for my personal/side gigs. Each one is hooked up via usb-c > thunderbolt 2 adapters to some older apple cinema displays. I want to be able to switch one of the screens back and forth to one machine or the other but I can’t find a good way to do it. Any solutions?

I’m in a final rounds of two companies that I potentially want to work for, Grubhub and Groupon. I recently had a recruiter from Deloitte digital reach out as well. At this point I’m not sure if I should reject the recruiter or go ahead with an interview even though I might be getting offers this month from other two companies. I’m honestly torn because they all seem like great opportunities and it’s absolutely wild to me how all three are happening at the same time for me.

Any other UX designers out there feeling the effects of churn in their organization? I work at a large fortune 100 company and we’ve seen so much reorganization and problems with retention in the last 6 months to a year. In the last 4 months 6 PMs have quit and they still haven’t backfilled their positions or they will and someone will quit shortly after. It’s been draining for sure. Mostly just curious what other companies look like right now.

Hey! I’m looking to upgrade my personal laptop to MBP M1 chip. However one of the biggest things I keep debating between is the 8GB and the 16GB of ram. My workflow is basically standard print, branding and photo stuff. I don’t do any motion or video work personally. Anyone have any recs on which amount of RAM would work out best?

I love the company I work at but they are forcing everyone to return to office after two years working fully remote and the most successful eight quarters the company has had in years. People are leaving left and right forcing me and other team members to pick up the slack. For many reasons I do not want to return to office and they are standing firm on their policy. It has forced me to consider other opportunities. Anyone have any recommendations on remote opportunities?

How long should you stay at your first company?

I have been working for about a year and a half at a start up company. Underpaid overworked and I am the only designer with a non design manager. I don't see a lot of room for advancement at the moment and was wondering if people have seen faster career growth switching companies every 1-2 years? Especially early on in their career.
