That’s the beauty of doing business here at Edward Jones. With convenient offices around the area, you have choices to go interview other advisors if I died or was no longer here.
Otherwise the contingency plan if (God forbid) I’m no longer here, is that your records and all the planning we’ve done transfers directly to another advisor who will sit in this same desk.
Don’t listen to all the competitors responses that will likely follow my post. All they will say is something like “blah blah blah...go indy...and it solves all of your problems”.
If you’re in a really rural area and the next office is not close by, then I’ve even told close friends and family about other colleagues here at EJ whom I trust to help them if I died prematurely. That also goes for out of area clients who would be absolutely lost without our services.
Good luck.

Of course I started in the business right before 2008, so I was used to getting those questions and I continue to proactively discuss it during on-boarding
