Race should be everyone’s issue. It’s not like race or discrimination is only America’s issue. It might not be race, but subcontinent is hotbed for all other types of discrimination and suppression of minority groups. So it’s should be very relevant to anyone
Though asian community in general is better off compared to other minority groups in the US. So I can see why we might be a bit indifferent

Discrimination of any form should be discouraged and condemned.
In India we have discrimination based on caste, language, region, religion and even gender.
We were never taught all Humans are born equal.
To make things worse, we were brainwashed that some castes are superior and some castes inferior and till date most of the Indian villages practice untouchability.
Discrimination of any form, whether it race, religion, caste and gender should be discouraged, condemned and none of the sane minds should encourage or support it.
I would consider myself involved/included and passionate. In some ways a lot of desis have the attitude of “I got mine or I gotta get mine” and they don’t really care, but it’s disappointing because the reality is while we are abundant in population, we still are discriminated against and discriminate against others. The more we know and change ourselves and others the better off we are, both here and back home.

Passionate about it conceptually, but i see people going overboard on the topic and now it’s put me off. I don’t want to be labelled a ‘diversity hire/promotion’.
Plus - everything and anything is offensive these days. The cancel culture is getting out of hand, and gen z will only make it worse as time passes on.

There's definitely a lot of virtue signaling and manufactured outrage. And you are likely right Gen Z is idealistically naive to believe it as real progress.

Truth be told I'm probably only passively in this conversation. I've never felt like a victim in the equation I've done well for myself and think of myself as color blind but to P1s point I've likely subconsciously over-indexed on "me" where I should rethink my privilege as an Indian male and actively do more for underprivileged minorities.
