Expect to get 1-2 job offers from every 10-15 interviews. Practice on lower tier firms with jobs you aren't crazy about. Learn to tell your story and set yourself apart. what makes you you!

Damn. I'm 4 for 5 once I make it to the final round. I don't know if I interview well or I'm not aiming high enough with each progression. Including pre-final round interviews I'm 4 for 8.

The good thing abt not having in person interviews is i was able to write down key strengths and a list of my “stories” on post-it notes and stuck them on my computer screen. This helped remind me of why I am great for the job and calmed my nerves (usu when I am nervous I forget everything and become even worse at selling myself). I also found it helpful to record myself answering typical interview questions and then rewatching them and redoing it until I look and sound more confident and natural. Also if you can do mock interviews with a coach or friends/spouse/Roomate etc. It helps as well.

This is an extremely tough position to be in and I can empathize. Try to keep in mind, every interview is an opportunity implement what you learned from the one prior. I would suggest taking note of specific communication gaps if you believe that’s what’s driving the undesired results. Then practice, focus and commit to improving the skill of communication like you would for something more technical. Good (and bad) social techniques can be trained. More importantly, as they’re practiced, they becomes part of your personality. Confidence, charisma and a simple communication style opens doors. Always remember, you have the ability to craft the key to those doors yourself.

a) It’s normal, don’t stress out. b) Don’t let the rejections go to waste. Note down your learnings (good and bad) after each interview (incl. mock interviews) and work on some weak points. c) It’s just practice after all. Apply for more jobs than you actually want just to build a routine. Do as many mock interviews with friends or online as you can.

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, The New Yorker released the transcript of a previously unpublished interview with James Baldwin, who gave a first-hand account of "Freedom Day 1963," a Black voter-registration drive in Selma, Alabama. Baldwin's descriptions from that day are so vivid and detailed that you can feel the fear and anger of the event. If you have a couple of minutes, I highly recommend you read it.

Hey everyone! Second year Deloitte analyst and I’ve been interviewing elsewhere, like many others. Just got told from the recruiter that I will be getting an offer from Apple as a Program Manager in San Jose (big jump lol). Right now I’m living in a MCOL city working remote, but I would need to move for this role (eventually lol). Any ideas on comp, living costs, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I’ve never been out to San Jose or San Francisco, so I’d appreciate any advice or DMs of any sort! Deloitte

Hi everyone. I interviewed for a sales role at Amazon. I was told the role was an L6 and I can stay based in Chicago. Well, the recruiter emailed me today saying the hiring team felt I was better suited for an L5 role (estimated total comp is $140K-$150K) and I would have to move to Seattle. They'll send me an offer if that works. Any advice or opinions on how to negotiate? For context, I gave a desired salary range of $280K-$310K since this was an L6 role, and my current TC at P&G is $200K.
