How do you navigate getting a referral on a platform like this? Genuinely curious on if HR/Recruiting asks how you know the person you're referring, or if they don't care where the referral comes from.
Really interested in a junior PM role at Razorfish. A close friend currently works for a different Publicis org, so not sure if a referral from them would mean anything.

Q: for FAANG recruiters, do candidates get a reject stamp after failing even at the later stages?
I advanced to the last stage at Facebook (Meta) around a year ago but failed on my last interview, a combination of not being familiar with the process and not having chemistry with the interviewer.
A friend who is a hiring manager recently recommended me and this time without even a HR call I received a straight up thanks but no thanks email.
Does this mean I’ve been permanently black listed?

I find writing notes helps, especially making a list of tasks you need to do whether for the day, week, or just per project. Something like bullet journaling can be very helpful or using some general project management tools but with the "project" being the work you have to do. I have ADHD so managing tasks can be a lot more difficult but what's worked well for me is using a whiteboard/calendar so I can always see what I'm working on and I like to use sticky notes a lot for smaller parts within a project or to-do lists for them. There isn't a solution that'll work for everyone so try out a bunch of things and see which helps
Sticky notes do not get along with me. Seems like they keep running away.
make urself a sharepoint page
This is gonna sound really lame but I made a Slack for myself, with different channels to keep track of different things (life things, side projects, day job etc). I connected it to apps like Asana, GCal, etc so it kinda feels like my own database. I also use Airtable and Asana for day-to-day task management
I'm old school and I use physical to-do lists. There's something really motivating about crossing a task off once it's done.
Delegate
My team tracks their projects with software, but going back to basics with a notepad and pen for daily tasks can really help keep track of what you need to focus on. When I was managing day to day projects, I would refresh the list of to-dos each day by rewriting the tasks I didn't accomplish on the page from the day before onto a new page and then adding to the list of tasks I needed to prioritize.
I still try to do this today, but it's more of a weekly list instead of a daily just based on the type of work I do managing a PMO versus working in one.
Rising Star
I use roam research as a second brain
A simple excel spreadsheet to set my daily priorities, track time spent on my OKRR, and use as my daily journal. Logging time keeps me motivated to complete the task before moving onto something else. Pivot chart to assess where I need to adjust focus. Also helpful when meeting with my manager. I do not share my spreadsheet with anyone.
I use clickup to create to do lists with links and descriptions.
This is particularly helpful for tasks that are under the table like when my manager says talk to so and so about project x
Trello, Asana, simple Google sheet tracker. Many options out there
Smartsheets, Notepad, good old pen & paper..... all of these should work.
