On ponytails, flat iron so it is straight, backbrush or “tease” the crown, high on your head, shine on ends. Very professional. With wavy, low on the neck, backbrush/tease the crown, curl any piece framing face. More Friday look. If loose curl, low bun, curl any pieces framing face.
You can also do a slicked low pony (center or side part). Looks very sophisticated and keeps your hair away
Ask a colleague you’re friendly with on the team to call you out when you play with your hair. That worked for me when I was trying to reduce how many times I said “umm” when speaking.
