How do you think the military has changed since Covid? Did anyone here go through bootcamp during 2020?

I think the military has changed for the worse since Covid. It's been hard to keep up morale with everything that's going on, and I don't think things will get better anytime soon.

The military is now focusing more on online training and virtual simulations, which is a great way to keep troops safe and prepare them for potential deployments. I think the military adapted well to the Covid pandemic, and I'm confident that they will continue to be an important part of our country's response to this crisis.

The military has changed a lot since Covid. It is now a lot more difficult to get into the military and there are a lot more restrictions on what you can do while in the military. I didn't go through bootcamp during 2020, but I have heard that it is a lot harder than it used to be.

Help requested: my older brother (male in his 30s in NYC) is relatively high risk for getting COVID due to his job and underlying health but he keeps procrastinating on getting the vaccine. He doesn’t want to admit it, but I have a high suspicion it’s because he’s very afraid of needles and shots (but doesn’t want to admit it). How should I best support him?

I have COVID and have not been back to school since Christmas break. My district does not require a negative test to return, just 5 days of quarantine. However, I am a special Ed teacher and work with medically fragile kiddos. As a parent I would not want my child’s teacher to return to school knowing they could infect someone…does this seem right???

Hi Fishes,

My colleague's younger sister is looking for a job as a fresher. She has recently graduated (B.com) and is pursuing US CMA. She's also done a couple of internships and is highly proactive and motivated. The family has been struggling to meet the ends specially due to Covid Pandemic.

Tried applying via Naukri and LinkedIn but there's hardly any response.
Can someone please refer her in their organization for a relevant role for a B.Com graduate. DM me for more details.

TIA

Accepted an offer of employment with a mid-sized firm to begin in a couple of months. I’ve always wanted to shoot for big law but haven’t had the opportunity thus far. Overall, I accepted because I didn’t want to take the opportunity for granted in addition to the uncertainty with hiring due to covid. Would it be an issue to shoot for a big law opportunity in the interim? I know how this looks and sounds, so I definitely don’t want to set a precedent that I deal in bad faith.

been in downward spiral since COVID, struggling with being alone, loved the travel, teams. got depressed and angry. Dreaded work. In the process got to drinking 4 up to 15 drinks most days. Gained weight. Didn’t care about living. Have tried to stop over and over. Last week I woke up with a bloody nose and for the first time cared. I don’t know what changed. I am 7 days sober and I am starting to feel like the me I remember! I am proud! I am thankful! I just needed to share!

Ringing that bell tomorrow. No hate to my firm, but we have a kid during covid and it’s hard to work two jobs and be a daycare provider. Plus, no job makes me as whole as being a father.

Old employer arranged a WFH contract deal where my contract is on par with my current pay. Have to pay both sides of FICA taxes, but I control my time and know I can be there for my wife and kid when needed. Keep grindin’ y’all! ✌🏽

Celebrating our 10 year dating anniversary with my fiancé next month. Any ideas on romantic ways to spend it? Don’t want anything outdoors or in restaurants due to COVID.
