This remote work environment has actually created more opportunities for D&I. As an example, previously the diversity networks may have held an in person event and many had challenges getting people to attend. However with the remote working environment we are seeing more diverse professionals attend the virtual events and individuals are connecting more with employees outside of their offices. Although we are remote, this remote working experience is bringing diverse talent together in a different way.

Honestly, TBD. Its more difficult to evaluate progress in the remote world. I'm somewhat optimistic as many firms in the industry, including Carlyle, have made public their plans to increase diversity. They have to be held accountable, which means utilizing different recruiting methods. Carlyle, as an example, owns a firm called Hirevue, which provides video interviewing capabilities.

I just got on a project that requires me to be remote. I feel like this is will limit my impact and stunt my career growth and I'm looking for Senior this year. Any advice? Can I avoid the project?
