Honestly just let him cry. Longer periods every time. Short at first. You have to untrain both of you. It’ll be a long week but it will happen sooner than you think.

This is fair! Going to try this starting tonight! 15 mins before I cave - that’s the goal atleast!
4 months is typically when sleep regression hits… you can try to teach him new sleeping habits by sleep training or soothing with something else like pacifier or finger or some other toys… sleep training is tough love but it worked for us and my baby and she’s been an amazing sleeper since then. Hope you find your light !

So we did try to train him once and failed miserably! So planning to try something more gradual this time! Hope it works!! Lol
There are many different types of sleep training with cry it out on one extreme and the Ferber method is similar in concept but a little more involved. I think they don’t recommend starting sleep training until four months bc babies aren’t neurologically developed to understand how/why to self sooth so this is perfect timing! And yes there is sleep regression around 3-4 months too! I’d say pick your type of sleep training and give it a shot! Recommend starting on a Thursday or Friday night that way the worst nights are over a weekend and your workdays aren’t as impacted. Good luck!

We tried Ferber a few weeks ago and failed miserably! So this time going to try something more gradual!

We just started the Ferber method last night. Night one went incredibly well. The night before I had been up every hour to try to help her back to sleep, but she woke the first time, cried for 15 minutes and then was asleep all night until 6:00.

That’s reassuring to hear!
We might try again in a month!

I would let him cry it out. It’ll get better each night
Follow the peaceful sleeper on IG! Lots of great tips!
