If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

What makes you think you can just not show up without telling anyone?
Tell your boss you are going on vacation and charge sick time instead
@EY 1: We can all just not show up and not tell anyone. It’s called being an adult. With that said, plenty of adults make stupid decisions all the time. Those adults don’t hold down jobs for very long.
@EY3, I can’t imagine ever just not showing up to work and not telling anyone, even as an experienced SM. If I am out sick or on vacation, my team knows about it.
OP, if you are home sick, charge your time to the illness charge code. If you are on vacation, charge your time to the vacation charge code. If you are taking a personal day, charge your time to the personal day charge code.
EY 4 - Another addition to the list of things you thought you wouldn't have to tell someone.
I work on one of the chiller engagements imaginable and I wouldn’t dream of just not showing up without telling anyone. We don’t have sick days (just 25 PTO days total) so I don’t have to worry about that distinction however.
Can’t you just put it on Jabber/Skype?
@EY 4: I am the same way in that I could never simply not show up and fail to inform my team. I think you might have missed the second half of my post which refers to adults that make stupid decisions (like not showing up and not telling anyone) and lose their jobs as a result.
EY4, yeah, I missed the intent of the second part of your comment. Read too quickly! :)
