How do you use the whiteboard in your office? I always see people using their whiteboard for organizing tasks but mine is always blank because I have never figured out a good system.

Lol I’ve been trying to use it for the past 2 years and have failed. Lol I tried to bucket out my caseload but I get to lazy to get up and update it and end up updating my tasks on my notepad lol

I use mine all of the time to draw pictures of the concepts I am trying to explain to my clients. By drawing symbols as I explain, they are able to follow complex issues better than a purely vocal interaction. It also helps focus them on the conversation since it is harder for them to zone off when the interaction is more “entertaining”.

I use mine to map out issues sometimes

If I used one it would list tasks on the left, due date in the middle and notes on the right. I’d use red to denote most urgent. Either with circling, asterisks or text.

If the big4 has an up or out model, do a lot of senior managers get laid off? Not everyone can be a partner/principle. How long can someone be a partner/principle for?

What's the best way to gain visibility by those holding 3-4 positions higher than you? I like learning from them and growing mentorships but can't break the AE-level wall with my responsibilities. Being remote also makes it harder to interact. I'm on the client/business side but would love to hear anyone's thoughts.

Thinking about pursuing a part-time MBA in fall 2021. Does Big 4 or MBB do full-time recruiting for part-time students in general (I know schools have their own policies)? Has anyone been able to laterally transfer as a part-time MBA grad?

I’m a Financial Services Strategy Manager in NYC who just got laid off. Any connections to strategic planning roles in the NYC area would be very much appreciated. This was a surprise to me as my career counselor said I was in track. Only have two months of severance so would like to find something by end of year.
