About to enter my third trimester and might be getting vaccinated today. Am very nervous and going back and forth about it. If I don’t go it’s very likely I won’t have another chance until after the baby. I have antibodies from about a year ago but am unsure how long those will last. Any pregnant moms gotten the vaccine? I’m truly stuck and scared the make the wrong decision long term for my baby.

Help! I have a parent who is over-exaggerating and possibly putting words in her child’s mouth regarding issues at school. Today she contacted me regarding her child being “assaulted” at school. We’ve explained to her that we need the child to report these incidents to a teacher at school as soon as possible after it happens, but never does. Makes me wonder if she’s making things sound worse or if the child is telling stories to get her attention.

I am planning to start IUI cycle this summer and have booked Pfizer vaccine mid April. Two questions (note I recently recovered from Covid so have antibodies)

1) Have unverified maybe misconception that vaccines affect fertility. Any opinions on this? My developing country family is freaking out and suggesting I vaccinate after I get pregnant.

2) My donor is fully vaccinated and did Pfizer, another rumor that it’s better that parents have same vaccine? Is this true?

I’m 31 weeks pregnant so everything makes me super emotional right now. I just overheard a co-worker basically brag that by the time he gets home every night his kid (3 year old) is already asleep. The thought of that made me cry. I really don’t want to get home every night to my kid already sleeping. When do attorney-parents find time to actually be with their kids?!?

Pregnant with my third child now and wondering what is the right time to tell work. I did it really early with my first two because I wanted to plan ahead, but now thinking about it, I feel like it just set me up for failure those years because I was reassigned from tasks and kept underutilized.

I’m 8 weeks pregnant and am exhausted all the time. Like, sleeping 8 hours a night and still can’t keep my eyes open during the day. My work is insanely busy and the pressure is really on for billable hours. Our firm has furloughed some lawyers and laid off others. So even quick naps during the day aren’t a possibility. I’m typically working from 8:30-7, break for dinner, and then back on the computer from 9-10:30 before bed. I exercise most mornings and eat well. What can I do to make it thru?!

Is it me or did a ton of “super dads” come out of the woodworks during the pandemic? The same men who were barely present with their kids pre pandemic have all of the sudden become shared caretakers? What is this? Does having your kids in your face suddenly make you present or is it a great excuse to create work life balance for yourself?

Disclaimer - not a typical post for this bowl. Wanted to understand more about the mental health services at Google (I already read the high level info on the onboarding portal). I’m starting soon and wanted to ask what Googlers thought of the available resources. My mental health has taken a hit since fall ‘20 - I tried wellness programs through my current employer (counseling and mindfulness) but felt that the providers were more into utilization of the benefit than trying to solve my issues.

My school has used The Boomerang Project in the past to help students transition from middle to high school. By the time I found out the 2 teachers who lead the program were leaving our school it was too late to receive the training last spring. I looked today to see when the next training is happening so I could talk to my principal about signing up, however every training is sold out! Does anyone know of a program that is comparable to look into? Google search has not helped.
