1. Don’t check work email. 2. Do at least one thing that makes you laugh each weekend. 3. Use a Sunday afternoon to plan out the week. Keep task lists short each day. You’ll feel more prepared going into Monday. My Erin Condren LifePlanner makes me feel happy and empowered.

Spending time with my family how I lower my anxiety. I struggle as a high school SPED teacher to not let certain students affect my mood outside of school. Sometimes I am successful and sometimes I am not.

Same. Found out one my students is transferring and I'm having a real hard time coping. My class is very small so her absence us going to leave quite a hole.

Find teacher friends that you can talk to in your school. Having one or two trusted people to share experiences with and/or get advice from is a game changer. My school besties are my barometer for my reactions and my trusted sources of advice. Talking with them helps reduce the isolation of this job. If I can tell someone what I’m stressing about before I go home, I don’t obsess as much by not having understanding ears at home.
