IMO, prestige is relative, but most consider strategy to be the most prestigious form of consulting and tech consulting/implementation to be the least prestigious form of consulting.
Think of which area the two firm's truly specializes in and you should be able to answer the question yourself.
Lol - like I said, prestige is relative, but there are definitely generalizations/stigmas out there.
You have to look at perspective - A.T. Kearny has ~3500 people globally - so their solutions are going to be more specific and focused.
Accenture has 450,000 people. It’s like ants. They are everywhere. Accenture will get more at bats than most others just due to having people in most accounts. If I had 450,000 people helping me farm accounts - life would be so much easier.
Accenture’s consulting practice is third tier at best, and filled with aggressive wannabes with inferiority complexes who have no real subject matter expertise and can’t cut it anywhere else.
I’m fun to work with, I’ve just been here long enough to be cognizant of our standing in the marketplace

Does prestige matter that much? You’re definitely not going to be in the poor house if you have a career at either one.
Ya - SC1 is all over this thread desperately trying to defend the idea that ACN is the same as MBB, ATK, LEK etc. Having worked across three different firms (big 4, ATK, and MBB) they are NOT the same, talent is different, and on average exit opp are in the order you would expect them to be. However - at the end of the day I’m not sure it matters - so you be you SC1
You should be comparing ATK to Accenture Strategy not Accenture Consulting. ACN Strat is a no joke tier 2 shop. Swear I’m not just drinking the kool-aid

While there are exceptions for people, projects, and industries I would say in general ATK
Do you see Associates from ATK actively trying to move to ACN? I’ve only seen the opposite with lots of ACN people (including ACN Strat) trying to move to Tier 2 or MBB.
Maybe that’s because you have never worked for Accenture?

Lots of hate against Accenture, but one of the most successful partners at my office was actually a former Accenture. Think he spent ~10 years there and joined BCG as a PL or Principal

Lottts of hate for A here. Why? Looking at a consultant role there (non tech) now
ATK doesn’t have the same struggles with branding that ACN Strat does. That alone helps the prestige
but too bad nobody’s heard of them :(
