Hi I have an offer with PwC Strategy& UK (Manager role). However, my offer letter does not mention Strategy& at all. It says the role is with PwC. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, can anyone share salary ranges for Strategy& UK (manager and senior manager levels) please?

I completed the last round of an interview (presentation) last week. Originally they said they would be calling my references & then make an offer accordingly.
Today they updated that they'd like me to travel to their HQ (based in Nordics & I'm in London) for the final round where I'd meet the CEO, the hiring manager and a couple of people in the team.
I don't think I'm the only one in the process - even though initially the last round was the presentation.
What are your thoughts?

Frustrated right now, I was in the reference checks part of the hiring process at a large Chinese pharma company after interviewing and they said they were impressed with me. I have an offer which I put on hold for this pharma company, and told them about to help speed them up. The line manager just emailed me and said again I was an impressive candidate but after "internal discussions" they are moving on with other candidates. Why did they go through reference checks just to reject me?
