How does Bank Of America's investment options look? I currently have it set to VANGUARD Target RET 2060 (VTTSX), but have heard of people moving funds to another HSA that offers more investment options?

Are some funds missing or are those all the options. The vanguard target date fund is fine and would have no issue with everything in that out of the funds you show.

If you want to keep it simple just keep it there. As you get older if you think it is getting too much in bonds for you, just switch it all to one for younger people. The one you are in is probably 10% bonds and will stay at 10 for quite a while

VTWAX is a global all stock fund in case the 10% bond allocation in VTTSX is too conservative for your overall allocation. I transferred funds from my BoA HSA to Fidelity, as they provide a full selection of fund, ETF, and individual stocks, including the Avantis funds (small cap value tilt) to maximize the expected returns from the HSA triple tax advantage.

Open a Fidelity HSA, initiate the transfer from the Fidelity side, and make sure in the BoA HSA you have liquidated the amount you want to transfer as cash. I also turned off the auto investment threshold at BoA to make sure it did not automatically reinvest my money. Make sure you do not transfer everything in BoA, as that closes the account and may trigger a fee (partial transfers are free between HSAs)

Hi! I've been trying to reach the IRS about correcting a name on a return, they won't process my tax return bc of this error. I call the number they provide 800-829-0582 ex. 372 or 772 and when I call i get a message that I need to call the number above. So it's driving me nuts bc it's a literal circle. I've tried calling the number listed on the IRS website and it's only prerecord info. I don't know what to do, any suggestions?

Hey guys wanted to hear your thoughts on PE co-investing, is it a good path to direct investing? I read that the skill sets are similar but I see very little info on how hard that move is. I usually see posts linking co-investing to FoF but co-investing doesn’t seem like FoF (unless I’m wrong). Open to hearing your guys’ thoughts on it

Hey ATL fish, is there a negative connotation to Chamblee vs Brookhaven. From a home buy perspective, I am seeing better deals, newer homes in Chamblee. Both are ITP. But I get the sense that Chamblee has a "working class" element to it, especially with respect to Buford Hwy corridor. Any thoughts?

This may be an elementary question, but my credit score just randomly dropped 20 points. I keep my utilization very low. Almost all of my financial transactions are on my credit card, and I pay everything off by each statement. One month I didn’t get a chance to pay everything off because there were some transactions made on my statement date that I was not able to pay off because they were listed as pending. This resulted in my utilization going up to 6%. My credit score did not change (cont).

Curious about your thoughts on this one. I get why people maximize their 401(k)s, IRAs, etc for retirement. But what if your retirement investments get significantly reduced due to a stock market crash, or a banking/financial institution system failure (especially as people get close to their retirement age)? I mean with all the changes in the world, who is to say that these institutions are to be trusted? At the end of the day, your investments, paychecks, etc are just a number on a screen.
