How does Big 4 Accounting firms get away with working people for 12+ hours consistently without violating any labor laws?

How is Big 4 client experience + actual technical skillsets/ experience viewed when interviewing with ServiceNow?

One thing I’ve been curious about is what makes a partner jump from one B4 to another? Is is the same reasons as everyone else (e.g: pay, politics,etc) ? I feel like people tell me not to leave at a director level because you’ll need to rebuild a network to help you get to partner, but wouldn’t direct entry partners experience something similar as they come over, like trying to get plugged into good deals vs. Crummy ones?

How is the growth and exit opportunities for Finance and Shared Services Outsourcing advisory teams in Big 4? My current profile is more towards secondary research and benchmarking (some exposure to outsourcing advisory)? Does it make sense to leave my current role for Finance and SSC team in another big 4?
