Hot take. Cut all welfare programs. Take the budget from the programs and give them as monthly cash transfers for All US citizens (with minor tweaks depending on number of dependents). Benefit paid out would be higher than the existing programs as we cut administrative costs and don't have to spend anything on figuring out who qualifies. Had a really rough drinking episode this past weekend. Broke some things in our house. Don’t remember. For 20 years now, I can have 1-2 drinks and be fine 9/10 times, and that 10% I go HARD.
