If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Use credit karma. It is free, easy to use, and takes you through every single step. I’ve used it for two years now and filed both federal and state completely free with no issues
Hmm I didn’t see that OP, where does it say that? Sorry, then I don’t have any suggestions for you
There is a PwC microsite where you can download the turbo tax state files at no charge. Just print and mail to avoid paying the ridiculous state e-file charges. I think you’re over doing it with certified mail.
Just search PwC news for Turbo Tax and you will find the link.
You’re upset by the cost of tax compliance. Now you know how our clients feel.
my rule is that I do not file a state income tax return in any state where my refund will not cover the cost of e-filing
This is. What I’ve always done too. Not sure it’s technically allowed but whatever
Free tax USA, each state is 12.95 and I had to file 3 states.
I used turbo tax for years and each state was 29 or 39, I can’t recall.
Kredit karma. Free federal and state.
Is everyone just e-filing on TurboTax? Or am I missing out on a better way to do this?
TurboTax is what I’ve been using for years
Doesn't Pwc pay for you to file for states you had to visit for business purposes?
Not that I’m aware of... they give us the forms but then we either have to pay turbotax to e-file or mail them. If they pay for it, I’ve been doing it wrong and would love to know how to take advantage of this benefit
Tax act is completely free. I filed in two states and paid $0
Just stop charging your code to areas outside of where you work lol. File in only 2 states where I work and live lol.
Yeah I’m having a similar issue. I think we just have to pay the TurboTax amount but I guess they give us a discount on TurboTax... I’d love to hear if there’s a better way!
Same as PWC 2. I use the free state downloads in TurboTax. And then I just mail them in. I don’t bother certifying. Never had any problem
Where can you download the free state files from PwC?
Try credit karma tax
Although it only includes 1 free state, all types of federal returns are free so you can save up there at least
I didn’t know about Freetax USA. Thanks trying that this year
Some states actually allow you to file for free on their website. I file free on Colorado Revenue website (really easy to use). I do my federal in TurboTax, and California you can file for free on their website but only if you meet a very specific set of strict criteria (I’m non resident which kicks me out).
