If you are asking from a prestige perspective, it’s not great. It’s experienced substantial growth since I’ve joined, but still very much a WIP. Below would be my breakdown of the talent within its consulting service line.
35% = generic IT PMO folks
20% = have only been exposed to governance, risk, or compliance (e.g. asc 842)
10% = change management, but only for Life Sciences (looking at you TP)
10% = former Arryve guys that are convinced they are doing pure strategy work, but are really just staff aug for the Seattle tech firms
20% = hodgepodge of ops, digital, or financial management consultants that would thrive elsewhere, but chose GT for a) culture, b) challenge/allure of building a practice, c) too much purple koolaid, d) all of the above
5% = former IBMers that are “god’s gift to earth” / a weird combination of pretentious yet underwhelming
Great insights! Thank you all!
It’s like you almost made Varsity and the coach decided to keep you on JV.
